VIA| Former CIA Director John Brennan testified on Capitol Hill today regarding the still unsubstantiated Trump/Russia collusion story.
We’ve seen plenty of bluster and plenty of hysteria on this subject but still no concrete evidence after a year of investigating.
When it was Trey Gowdy’s turn to question Brennan, he didn’t hold back.
Here’s what happened when Gowdy pressed Brennan about the evidence in the case.
From The Daily Caller:
Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) grilled ex-CIA Chief John Brennan on evidence of US-Russia collusion, forcing Brennan to admit he doesn’t actually know if there was any collusion.
Brennan responded that he had seen information about contacts between Russian and US actors that led him to believe the matter should be investigated further by the FBI, but declined to say whether or not he saw direct links between Trump and Russia.
“That doesn’t help us a whole lot,” Gowdy snarked.
Check out the video of the exchange. Brennan really has nothing when Gowdy presses him.
Moral of the story.
Brennan doesn’t know if Trump and Russia colluded and he certainly doesn’t have evidence.
That seems to be a common theme.
A lot of smoke created by the media and yet no fire after a year of looking for it.
It was pretty unbelievable how political Brennan was in his testimony today.
A point that didn’t go unnoticed by former diplomat Richard Grennell.
At some point, even the liberals are going to have to pump the breaks on this whole Russia collusion thing.
How much longer can we freak out about something that is based on zero concrete evidence?
