BAISH| There is an old saying that people love to tell their children, however, not everyone seems to follow the advice of that saying when they reach adulthood. Two wrongs do not make a right. The Left loves to blame white people for everything that goes wrong in black people’s lives, claiming that “oppression” has held back the black community for years. While it is true that slavery was wrong, white people living today do not owe the black community for this wrongdoing. None of us were even alive during the time that slavery existed, so what would make any of us responsible for their ancestors’ suffering?

So, if we refer back to the saying that two wrongs don’t make a right, what makes it okay for white people to be so blatantly discriminated against in present times? Counter-discrimination is just as wrong as discrimination. What don’t these “progressives” understand about this? Well, President Trump is taking a stand to change the way our society looks at racism.

President Trump has reportedly launched a full attack on counter-racism. He is ready to directly target anti-white discriminatory affirmative action with a fool-proof plan. The New York Times reported that Trump will be directing the Department of Justice to begin an investigation and to sue any university who show obvious bias or preferential treatment directly based on race. The Times also cited a document that uncovers the fact that the DOJ is seeking out attorneys that would be a good fit to assist with “investigations and possible litigation related to intentional race-based discrimination in college and university admissions.”

The document that came directly from the Trump administration doesn’t specify particular races, however, we can deduce that with the recent anti-white trend among the Left, Trump is working on protecting whites from facing counter-discrimination. It has been an obvious issue in colleges and universities over the last decade or so that black and Latino students are given more opportunities than Caucasian and Asian students who actually scored higher on state level tests.

Roger Clegg, who served in the Justice Departments of Ronald Reagan and George Bush explained, “the civil rights laws were deliberately written to protect everyone from discrimination, and it is frequently the case that not only are whites discriminated against now, but frequently Asian-Americans are as well.”

Supreme Court rulings in the past have proved that universities that receive federal funding are not allowed to use racial quotas or racial point systems as their core admissions criteria. The crazy part? Colleges are allowed to use diversity as one of their factors during the admissions process. So, if the college is finding that they are accepting more white and Asian students than black and Latino students, they will purposely accept more black and Latino students, even if there were white and Asian students who were better qualified. To me, that sounds racist.

A good example of this insanity is the 1996 case of Hopwood v. Texas. The case found that deliberately using race to set varying standards for university applicants was entirely unconstitutional. So, why can colleges use race as a means to discriminate against white students? How don’t Liberals see this as racism?

The Heritage Foundation explained, “the minimum TI [admission] score for each category varied depending on the applicant’s race or ethnicity.” The foundation also explained, “for example, black and Mexican-American applicants needed a composite score of 189 to be presumptively admitted, whereas white and non-preferred minorities needed a 199 TI score.”

In laymen’s terms, the bar wasn’t set as high for certain races… which is also racism. What Liberals don’t seem to want to understand is that racism doesn’t just mean enslaving a group of people, racism also means giving one group preferential treatment over another. And despite what some people think, white people can be discriminated against as well. Racism isn’t a one-way street.

The Left wants to preach equality for all, but giving black students a boost over white students is the opposite of equal. Those who claim that we should be blind to race should take their own advice. Americans should be judged by their skillset and hard work, not their skin color, not just when it’s convenient for the Left. H/T
